Current Peer Consultation Groups

Join facilitators Alej Perez-Kohl, LMFT, and Nova Zeldin, LMFT, of Forward Counseling and Consultation for a collaborative space where clinicians are invited to engage in both clinical and reflective consultation.
As clinical supervisors in training, both Alej and Nova will host two focused groups aimed at enhancing and expanding our clinical and relational skills working with LGBTQIA2S+ clients using a systemic, anti-punitive, justice-centered approach. The goal of this consultation space is to create a robust network of support and resources for clinicians to use with their LGBTQ+ clients, improving our therapeutic approaches, and increasing access to care for LGBTQ+ community members.
Held on the first and third Friday of the month at 12 p.m. (noon), there are two spaces to choose from:
All Clinicians Group, First Fridays: This group is for clinicians of all identities who are interested in enhancing their work with LGBTQIA2S+ clients, increasing their knowledge and skill set, and who are open to unlearning biases they may carry in working with LGBTQIA2s+ clients.
LGBTQ+ and/or Questioning Group, Third Fridays: This group is for clinicians who identify as being a part of the LGBTQIA2S+ and/or Questioning community who would like to be in community with other clinicians navigating how to support LGBTQIA2S+ clients, how to balance and process systemic concerns that impact the self of the therapist as well as the clients we are working with, and any other clinical or reflective content that is important to address.
